University Hospital Bonn

Clinic marketing: Recruitment campaign

Female nurse in a blue tunic sits at a table with a basket of fruit on it and drinks coffee; the clinic building can be seen in the background behind the window

Start

With its “Relief” contract, the University Hospital Bonn offers its nursing and care staff better working conditions and plenty of respite from stress and strain. To find new recruits, the hospital wanted to position this employee benefit as a USP. It commissioned Flavour to develop a campaign that would present the university hospital as an exceptional employer.

Finish

A rhyme to remember: In the recruitment campaign, we used the German abbreviations UKB and TV-E (for the hospital and its contract respectively) in striking and memorable rhymes. This was an unconventional way to inform potential applicants of what the university hospital’s “Relief” contract offers them: more leisure time, more benefits, and more long weekends. To convey the message in visual and emotional language, we used images of nursing and care workers enjoying their free time.
