Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg

Clinic marketing: Website relaunch

Website of the Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg with a welcome message, image and information about the facility.

The challenge

With 16 specialist clinics, a wide range of medical services, outpatient care and complementary offerings such as parenting classes, Marienkrankenhaus is one of Hamburg's largest hospitals. However, this diversity was not clearly reflected in its digital presence. The existing website was technically outdated, its content was convoluted and it was not accessible. Information was difficult to find and the imagery seemed outdated.

In addition, the hospital wanted to showcase its special values more clearly: Christian principles, care and humanity in our interactions with one another – combined with cutting-edge medicine matching the standards of renowned university hospitals. At the same time, Marienkrankenhaus wanted to be recognized as large, modern and versatile without losing its personal touch.

Our approach

Flavour completely redesigned the website from scratch – with clear navigation, modern imagery, and a strong SEO strategy. Working closely with the hospital, we restructured its wide range of services. At the same time, we made the medical content more patient-oriented and easier to understand.

To help visitors find their way around more easily, we strategically linked the content. Through cross-links, horizontal navigation, and targeted anchor points in the content, we allow for better orientation and make relevant information easier accessible.

“We have further developed the existing corporate design and transformed it into a modern, functional web design that is timeless, provides orientation, and is human-centered.”

The effect

With the relaunch, Marienkrankenhaus is also presenting itself online as a trustworthy healthcare provider for patients and a reliable partner for referring physicians and other healthcare professionals. The new website provides guidance in complex situations, conveys confidence through clear language, and translates the hospital's care into a digital experience. Nursing care is now also given much greater visibility – through its stronger integration and targeted links throughout the web concept. At the same time, the new website strengthens the position of Marienkrankenhaus as one of Hamburg's leading hospitals – with a clear profile and Christian values.
