Website relaunch

Depiction of a website featuring a smiling woman in a blue blazer and information on job and study opportunities at the German Pension Insurance.

The challenge

The German Pension Insurance Fund for Northern Bavaria is responsible for all pension-related matters for 2.6 million insured individuals, and runs seven rehabilitation clinics. This creates a wide range of professional opportunities for junior staff and experienced professionals alike. Roles range from insurance clerks to chief physicians.

Flavour’s task was to present this diversity and the employer's added value in a new career portal, ensuring that potential applicants could easily find the information they needed.

The Flavour idea

As a unifying theme, the meaningfulness of the work and the sense of solidarity in a socially oriented company were emphasised. Under this guiding idea, all professional groups could be subsumed. For each one, the messaging placed a slightly different emphasis. Particular attention was paid to using a younger tone of voice and visual style in order to facilitate the recruitment of trainees.

With a clearly structured page layout and several filtering functions on the homepage, it was ensured that users could navigate the site effortlessly. The goal was to lead each target group directly to the relevant content without any detours.

“Skilled workers have become scarce. Even public-sector employers have to compete with private companies when it comes to recruiting. Our aim was therefore to develop a career portal that is both empathetic and modern.”

The effect

The number of page impressions has increased significantly compared with the previous website, as have the time spent on the site and the number of contacts made. Equally important, however, was the internal impact. The joint career portal was regarded within the company as an important step into the future. In particular, the authentic photos and videos of real employees received a positive response.
